The New Mystery Manor Starting Quests

The New Mystery Manor Starting Quests

The New Mystery Manor contains starting quests to get you familiar with the Manor and sends you off to open rooms. This list of quests will help you find the right places to get keys to open the First Floor rooms.

I will need to add to these quests as I go along as I need to do them myself to get information. I’m sure the order will be different for everyone and sometimes 2 quests appear at a time but I’ll list them in the order I’ve received them.

Each quest has a quest name in the top bar. A little bit of the story. Then what the task is and so far a Show button. In the bottom bar are the quest rewards. You can tap on each one to see what it is.

What I notice is when you open a quest to see what it says it moves to the top of the quests list. Only 7 quests will show at a time then there will be a little scroll indicator at the bottom or top so you know there are more to see.

In the beginning quests you receive Chargers for rewards when you complete them. After that you have to banish Snatchins to get enough chargers and that can be difficult. I used a 20% Copper Rabbit Foot and banished a bunch to help me level up but I don’t feel like it did anything to help me get more chargers.

TIP: Using the Show button is a good idea because many of these quests say to find the item in one room but the quest takes you to a different room with the Show button and that’s the correct one.

NOTE: If you are having trouble with the Bathroom key please read from quest 44 to 51. There is more than 1 quest to get to the key.

I don’t see “Gong from Okinawa Island” in this list, sorry if I missed it in any if the other lists. It appeared as soon as I completed “A bit of TLC” which coincided with going up to Level 26, so I don’t know which triggered it. Jones the Hunter asks you to find the gong in the Hunting Room in silhouette mode. I will have to wait a while, not enough bullets to access that at the moment.

    MM_Admin

I don’t have e everything listed and some may be on the pages specific to the quest string.

Kim

No award given for the new guild quest. Did anyone get theirs?

Maurs

I’m having trouble getting the last manuscript from the thieving snatchin I must have banished at least 60 of them ! Used boosters to no avail.
Also the Gatling crossbow , I’m on level 25 but it doesn’t drop.

    MM_Admin

Do you have a quest for the Crossbow? I notice when I looked through the comments on the page that several of us never had the quest and GI gave it to us when we opened a ticket.

If you have the quest would you send me the name and how to find it. If you take a screen shot and email it to me that would be even better.

      Maurs

I have sent a request , will see what happens.
Also have you managed to get the last manuscript from the thieving snatchin

      Maurs

I sent a request for the quest for the crossbow and I just opened the game and a message came up your request has been sent. They just sent me the crossbow 🤨

Kelly

I officially hate the Match 3 game!
I have 3 quests that need me to complete it but I can’t get past level 11 in it. It needs you to drop 6 bottles but I never get close to that.
Has anyone got any tips about how to do this level?

    ssimson1999

The only way I got through it was extra moves and using the lightening ball and hoping it landed near a mine or a rocket. It took me a couple of tries. I find if I use the weapons provided in the Match 3 game early I have a better chance of winning and not having to purchase extra moves. They purposefully make some of those levels so you have to buy extra moves or weapons to win. Or just keep wasting energy playing, hoping you get lucky.

      Kelly

Thank you, I finally completed it. I’m not a fan of match 3!

I can’t get the New Mystery Manor on my iPad

    MM_Admin

    What iPad do you have?

    ma.dorman

If you have the ipad 2 or better, you should be able to down load the new MM. However, the iOS makes a difference.
The new game requires a higher level than the old one. If you haven’t updated your iOS in a long time, this game won’t
load or even if it does download, it won’t open.

The same problem exists for some other games for which the update won’t show up in your “updates” needed.

mpruggiero

Just a couple of notes. #95 does not need to be completed in order to receive #184. I have not charged it yet but I’ve completed 184 with the help of a ticket to GI.

As I mentioned I’m working a quest string I don’t see. The first part required gathering 100 pearls. I can’t remember the name. Now I have silver thread for pearls which requires gathering 100 spools of thread. They also drop 5 at a time and seem to drop in every room every time. I tried searching yesterday for the quest name and it came back not found. Today it brought me to the general quest string (I may have only searched silver thread). That’s how I started reading them all and noticed #95.

Happy Sunday every one 😊😊

    MM_Admin

Lol! I only know because I take a screen shot of everything!

      mpruggiero

So, once I found all the wire for Benedict, the next quest was Gift Necklace where you collect 5 more shrodinger crates (the gold ones) and 5 möbius bows. And now dear Benedict wants to go to the fortune telling room…I told him to get in line, lol 😂

I also had a new quest string come up with level 26. Of course I don’t have the name of the first one, but it required finding a gong in the hunting room in silhouette mode. It actually dropped in the dressing room for me. The next was called The Gardner’s visit where you find the origami crane in the hall with mist which I actually had. It dropped right away. And the third, where I’ll be for a while is called I Ching Divination where you explore the fortune telling room 3x. And for fun, because I finally charged the kitten collection, I have the Bring the Cat Some Milk too 😜🙄😜

Hope everyone has a great week!!

mpruggiero

Are you guys spending a lot of money?? I’m at level 25. Still haven’t charged the magic book or fluffy kitten collection for lack of chargers. I have a quest to collect lamps from the fortune telling room (I have 2 so far), but on the rare occasion I get a jug of milk to drop, it gives me the rune stones every other time at best, still have 4 robots to go, AND NOW, lol, I have a quest to collect 100 pearls. At least they fall 5 at a time…the quest is called Seabed Ornaments.

I started this morning with around 140 in energy. When I used it up, I realized I was under 1000 from leveling up. I used a rabbits foot and banished the 3 snatchins that had the items needed to complete another quest that collected 10 of each. So, I banished those and did get the last 5 or 6 items I needed. The quest completion gave me enough energy to explore one room and level up. That brought my energy to 300. I used that and used diamonds and bought a cheese cake for another 250 of energy.

All of that to say this. I managed to collect not one key for the library or fortune telling room. I did manage to accumulate one of the chargers I was short for the 2 collections. I really Iike the new version and have never minded spending a few dollars here and there on the old game. I just don’t know how much longer I’m willing to spend time playing a game with so little reward…hopefully they will at least add the friends feature soon!

    MM_Admin

I am not spending a lot of money. In the original MM I never purchased anything in the 6 years I’ve been playing. I hoard everything, including my diamonds for things I really need. Right now I just search the room for the daily contest so I can get a few freebies. I don’t make it to 20 every often but those little tokens are helpful in the shop to buy Energy. I do make an effort to do 8 because the Mysterous Box gives charges for the Artifacts.

I hit 2 Star mastery in the Library and now need 20 keys to search. Weapons rarely drop for some of those Creatures so it will be slow going. I need the Book of White Magic to move forward in Zodiac. I haven’t found another room besides the Library to get it. In the original MM it was a regular item to find in the Library so there is no other option to find it.

ssimson1999

I am at level 29 and can’t get past the following quests:
Under Magnification – Ocularis
Magic Instructions – Ocularis
Lost t’rophy – Room 51
I Ching Divination ?????
Last Trial – Sakura Room
Old Friends – can’t charge collection because of lack of chargers
Drill a Hole – Lab
A Shirt & Will o wish – searched rooms in this mode and nothing happens

    MM_Admin

I too have that Shirt quest…. for the 2nd time. You can also find it in the Dressing Room. I opened a ticket with GI. I purchased the blueprint that comes from the Baron as I was tired of wasting energy.

I mostly feel like I am having quest chains end that we’re filling collections without getting the final collection item. I will, talk to my contact next week and see if he can give me any insight.

That Contact Us in the Help window is really easy to use and I find the response rate and quality is much better than it ever was in the original MM iPad game.

Dorian

Crop Circles – GI says you can’t get there until after finishing the Diamond Drill to get the key for the Laboratory.

I’m now up to 4 rooms I can’t open and I expect the Oceanic Room will make number 5. I’m at level 29 and this is brutal.

    MM_Admin

How many quests do you have left? I’ve got 6 and that one to get the key for Room 51 has no string. I just keep sending tickets.

      Dorian

      I have five quests available.

      Last Triial
      Lost Trophy
      A New Plan
      Drill a Hole
      Gardener Immersed in Grief (flute)

      Ugh

Beryl Banester

Does anyone one know how to get the items needed to open the laboratory without spending diamonds and real money to buy the amount needed to open this room? Thanks for any tips and info.

    MM_Admin

I’m working on the answer to that now. I have to wait for a response from the developers and it’s the weekend!

    bren5775

I wondered the same thing, then I got quest “drill a hole in the wall” you get the tape rom match 3 game’s battery from television robot and the rest from mist, native idol and will o wisp! Drop rate is very slow for me! But so far everything is!

      MM_Admin

We always had to find the 5 tapes on our own but we could ask for the 35 each of the other items from Friends. I have created a page for The Laboratory I don’t have the Drill a Hole in the Wall quest yet. Do you know what triggered it?

        bren5775

I’m not sure! I have so many quests that I can’t do, so I mostly just search the daily contest room! I have 5 rooms that I can’t open yet bc I need a bunch of items like the lab or I need to charge artifacts which I can’t get yet! Mysterious island (lvl 34) needs “an old friend” quest which I don’t have yet! I figure something will trigger it at some point. Benedict’s workshop(brig) says you can get items by asking friends(so I don’t think I’ll be getting into that one anytime soon😂I’m sorry, I wish I had the eye for detail like you do(that’s why you are so valuable)!! Don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining, I’m so bored with the other game, I’m just happy to have quests😱but I did love that game up until this last year!

nefret85

I did not see “Come to Me” on your list, but maybe I am just overlooking it. I just finished it, I had to find the Beethoven Bird Call in the Dressing Room in Words mode. I was looking here because I had the room in Words but the bird call was not showing in the list of items to find. I wanted to see if there were any comments about it. Oddly, when I went back to the game and the Dressing Room (in Words), there was the bird call in the list of findable items! Well, that saved me a trouble ticket… 😄

    MM_Admin

What level are you? Maybe I haven’t gotten it yet because I haven’t completed another quest.

We have found that using the Show button in the quest is more reliable than just going to the room it says.

      nefret85

I’m Level 13. The quest character is the Spirit of Knight and the next quest to pop up is Catch Me if You Can. Find the Schrodinger Trap in the Bathroom in silhouettes. And thanks, I usually tap the Show button to find the right room. I looked at the Dressing Room twice before finally seeing the quest item on the third look.

        MM_Admin

I was stuck on Trap Mishap. I hadn’t gotten it yet. I’ve got a bunch to type up now which I’ll get to today.

Nurselisa

Has anyone had the dandy Snatchin drop a button when banishing? He was stingy before the July 3rd update, but since then never drops buttons. Is it just me? The achievements tracker says I have banished him 80 times. There are multiple quests sitting there because I can’t charge the collection due to zero buttons.

    MM_Admin

He is so stingy with those buttons but I would open a ticket and tell them he’s not working.

    mpruggiero

Today was Christmas for me. I got both the button and another charger to drop.

I did breakdown and use my golden clover I was hoarding. I didn’t find it as helpful as the good old turtle in the old game. I literally searched 3 rooms where all I got was a little energy and a useless weapon.

      MM_Admin

I am hoarding some of those charms too. I get them from the Welcome sign that gifts every 4 hours. I do wonder why sometimes, even using a charm, I only get the experience and coins. Such a let down.

mpruggiero

Not sure if I’m overlooking it (probably am) in the quest list, but I’ve been stuck on a quest for at least 2 weeks. It’s called Main Trophy and it requires you to find the talisman of Jones, which you get by charging collection #32 Wonder Weapons. Here’s the thing, there was no quest to find one of the collection items Gatling Crossbow. It’s findable in the hunting room and I’ve searched and searched. Before I bug them does anyone else have this quest or remember it?

    MM_Admin

So, my first quest for collection 32 is Not Bare Hands to find the Tesla Rifle, the second item. Then I get Trap Mishap for the Hunting Trap.

I went through a bunch of quests today that I haven’t typed up yet but I don’t see one to find the Crossbow yet. Maybe I missed it. I’ll have to look through my screen shots some more. I am clearly not as far as you if you’ve had it for 2 weeks.

Do you have any of the items in that collection?

      mpruggiero

I have the other 4 items. At this point I don’t remember if there were quests for each of them, but I want to say there were (?) It took me a minute to realize it was an actual collection item and not a charger that was missing (I have 4 other quests I can’t complete because of the charger situation:-/).

It may only seem like 2 weeks…it’s definitely been a while😂😂

      Nurselisa

I never received a quest for the crossbow. I sent in a help chat in the game with screenshot of missing item and told them there was no quest for the crossbow. Also sent screenshot of the quest to to charge the collection. They responded almost immediately and gave me the crossbow.

        mpruggiero

        Thank you!

Maurs

I have a quest Called Trap Mishap which I haven’t noticed on your list. you have to banish certain Snatchins which I have done lots of times (haven’t counted ) to find a Da Vinci hunting trap..
thieving
Grubby
Hungry
Dandy

Maurs

    MM_Admin

Thanks, I am just really behind on updating the quests.

      Maurs

I just realised I forgot the bookworm snatchin .

My thoughts are with you and your family 🙏🏻

    MM_Admin

Is it showing as findable. Thanks, I got the quest added to the list.

mpruggiero

I just realized a have a quest that popped after 93-Explore the entire manor. It’s called Continue the search and calls for the the bathroom, garden, and dressing room to be searched. I have a screen shot, but don’t know how to get it to you.

My condolences to you both. I know there are no words to relieve the pain of losing a child. Blessings!

    MM_Admin

Thanks I have a whole list but I don’t think I’ve had that one yet! I need to sit and type and then I’ll see where I am. Mostly I am stuck because I need chargers to finish quests but I’m saving up my weapons so I can use my 1 Golden Rabbit Foot for 90% chance to get items.

Thankfully, I have this web page to keep me busy and sane! You are all so wonderful.

    MM_Admin

Thank you. I got the quest added.

LISA RITCHIE

Does anyone know how to get Golden bullets or Golden seeds without spending diamonds. I have three quests right now where I need to explore the Japanese room and hunting room. At a minimum that would be 60 diamonds?????

Banishing Corgi will give 3 bullets, Giri the Gardner gives 2 seeds. I just slowly banished until I gathered enough to search. It’s a slow process, but no diamonds 😄

      Thank you so much!!!!!!!

Just something I’ve noticed, I have been playing the 24 hour contests and wonder how the top players who win all the time manage to explore a room over a hundred times in a 24 hour period. Seeing as the energy takes 5 minutes to restore and a room can require about 35 to explore.

There are some players that have been playing since the beta so they have more energy and other items. Otherwise they are spending lots of money for more energy.

If you go to the top players in the daily contests, you can see what level they have reached. For example Dottie is at level 62. and MIRIAM CAT has reached level 56. It’s hard to compete against those who either has spent money on this game and/or have gotten off to a very early start.

Hi, is it normal to have different quests in different order to the above? For example I have done 94, the coat one but am also huts doing the shake of the dust one, 11, currently. My shake off the dust is to explore the Hall to level 5. The shake off the dust one didn’t appear until I finished the coat one, 94. The only other quest I have is one to complete the match three type game 10 times. Many thanks for any help.

Hi Wolf. Yes we all have them in slightly different order as it depends how quickly we are finishing each one.

      Thanks Kelley

on #77 above (and others following) you have an asterisk at the beginning. I don’t seem to be able to find what this means. Can you help me out?

Sorry, those are the ones I haven’t completed! I’m trying to keep track. I should put that somewhere on the page.

Do you know what we can do with the coins we collect in this game as I haven’t found anything to use them for yet. It does seem as if this version is going to require much more patience as energy refill is much slower and using horseshoes to banish gypsy is not free but needs energy. I also feel this version is not as adult in nature as the original game but am playing both at present. I hope they add friends to the new game soon. Keep up the good work, I wouldn’t have got as far as I have without your pages, thanks.

Something for coin purchases will come later. I am hoping the energy will fill faster as we reach higher levels.

This game is rated for age 12+. My grandchildren used to play the original. My grandson actually taught me things about the game when he was 9.
