The Secretive Island:  The 18th Room

Please note that this is a work in progress and we will update the quest list as we get the info.  A speciial thank you goes out to one of our page friends (and a great neighbor!), Katherine Bonar, for sending us info on some of the quests we haven’t gotten yet! Here is what we know so far:

A secretive island awaits us in the lovely turquoise waters off the shore outside of Mystery Manor!  These quests do not appear until you have the Pirate Brig, the 17th room, open, the reason being that you will need collection items found in the pirate brig to complete the quest.

TIP:  If you start getting marine maps dropping in the rooms, hold on to them!!  You will need them to exchange with the Snatchin Seafarers for Quest 29 and previously collected items will not count!

Secretive Island

 Important Note:  When these quests first appear, you will see a group of broken up photo pieces outside your manor to the upper left.  These are the photo pieces that will have to be assembled before the island is opened.  When you click on the photo pieces, you will get a screen which shows each piece with a “buy” button underneath it and a “buy all” button at the bottom. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY ANY OR ALL OF THESE PHOTO PIECES!!!  As you progress through the following quest list, you will reach a series of quests to find each piece by performing tasks of exploring rooms or banishing something.  We have posted a pic of the first quest for an island photo piece below:
The series of quests that lead to the island unfold as follows:

Quest 1:  Night Watch of Magda:  Explore the Fortune Telling room in Night Mode.

Quest 2:  Great Divination:  Banish snatchins and exchange with gypsies to collect 150 runestones.  Previously collected items will not be counted.

TIP:  This quest was easier than it seemed at first!  The quest allows you to buy runestones for 1 diamond a piece, but I don’t think it is necessary.

Quest 3:  White Magic of Awakening:  Explore the Hall in Silhouettes Mode to find a Book of White Magic. Previously collected items will not be counted.

Quest 4:  Black Magic of Protection:  Explore the Fortune Telling room in Night Mode to find a Book of Black Magic.  Previously collected items will not be counted.

Quest 5:  Barrier for the Ghosts:  Explore any room with the Mist phenomenon to find a Book of Necromancy.  Previously collected items will not be counted.

Quest 6:  The Monstrous Danger:  Explore the African room while it is under the Curse of the Stone Tongue (occurs after you explore the room with the Native Idol) to find the Book of Monsters.  Previously collected items will not be counted.

Quest 7:  The Magic of a Thousand Ways:  Explore the Japanese Garden with the Will’o’Wisp phenomenon to find the Book of Eastern Magic.  Previously collected items will not be counted.

Quest 8:  The Trick of Merlin:  Charge the collection “Magic Books.”  Previously collected items will not be counted.

Quest 9:  Silence of the Ghosts:  Charge the “Accurate Route” collection.  If you have already charged it prior to this quest, it will not count. (This collection is actually called “Precise Route” when you look through the collections tab.)

TIP:  This is the first of the collections found in the pirate brig that must be charged for this quest series.  All items in the pirate brig collections will not be found until you have reached expert level in the Pirate Brig.  Many players are trading to get the necessary items.

Quest 10:  Men’s Weapon:  Charge the “Pirate Weapon” collection.

Quest 11:  Vivifying Fear:  Charge the “Sea Reptiles” collection.

Quest 12:  Familiar Environment:  Charge the “Pirate Treasures” collection.

After you complete these quests, a series of quests to find the different pieces of the photo that need to be assembled to open the island will appear.  You can follow the quest instructions to find the pieces or buy your way out of each quest for 25 diamonds.

Here is a list of the quests for the pieces of the photograph of the island:

Quest 13:  Dim Scent:  Explore the Sakura Room to find a Piece with the Stone.  The item will not be found at once.

Quest 14:  Traces Lead to Laboratory:  Explore the Laboratory in the Silhouettes Mode to find a Piece with a Lagoon.   The item will not be found at once.

Quest 15:  An Unexpected Finding:  Explore the Fortune Telling room to find a Piece with a Parrot.   The item will not be found at once.

Quest 16:  Brig in the Dark:  Explore the Pirate Brig at Night to find a Piece with the Masts.   The item will not be found at once.

Quest 17:  Swearing from Behind the Wall:  Explore Room 51 at Night to find a Photo with the Palm.   The item will not be found at once.

Quest 18:  The Alien, Let Me In!:  Explore the Plate (Flying Saucer room) to find a Piece with the Jungles.   The item will not be found at once.

Quest 19:  The Familiar Silhouette:  Explore the Ocean room in Silhouettes Mode to find a Piece with the Beach.   The item will not be found at once.

Quest 20:  Seals, Ancient as the Stars:  Look for a Piece with a Monkey in any room with the Native Idol phenomenon.   The item will not be found at once.

Quest 21:  Pieces of Memory:  Find the oceanic pieces of the photo on the left of the map (your screen) and follow the terms of their collection.

When you click on the pieces of the photo, you will see the following screen and then hit the “upgrade” button:

 

After clicking on the upgrade button, you will receive quests listed below. TIP:  As soon as I found the Photo Frame, Quest 27  popped up which allows you to click on the Pieces of the Photo and ask friends for the items that have to be found in these quests.

Quest 22:  The Beginning is Marked!: Find the Jar of Glue  in the Library in Silhouettes mode.  May not be found at once.  You have the option to purchase for 1 diamond.

Quest 23:  Clumsy Robots:  Find the Sticky Tape Bobbin by catching robots.  The item will not be found at once.  You can purchase for 1 diamond and I recommend that you do because you probably don’t have any oil cans to catch robots with!

Quest 24:  Sticky Brushes:  Banish snatchins to find a Brush for Glue.  You can purchase for 1 diamond.

Quest 25:  The Knife with a Strange Handle:  Drive the Native Idol (Indigenous Idol) from the African room to find the Boxcutter.  You can purchase for 20 diamonds.

Quest 26:  Phenomenal Farce:  Investigate any room with a phenomenon to find the Photo Frame.  Don’t not banish the phenomenon.   May not be found at once.  You can purchase for 25 diamonds.

Quest 27:  The Task for Real Friends:  Find the Pieces of the Photo on the map, click on them, and follow the conditions of creation.  When you click on the Pieces, here is what you will see:

Ask your friends for the items.  When you click on the “ask friends” button, you will be able to see the level at which the items can be gifted.  My strategy was to start with the higher level items first and work my way down.  You will get the items more quickly that you suspect!  As you receive the items, click on the island photo now and then to see how many you still need.  Once you have them all, you will need to click on the “upgrade” button button once again.  A llittle message will pop up that says the following:

 “Photo is ready.  Now it needs to be filled with magical power.  Peform tasks of Jones, Agent Fox and Aelita to discover how to use the magic of Atlanteans.”

This message refers to the screen called “Routing” which will now appear when you click on the island photo.  Basically, you have to collect the Legacy of Atlantis collection 5 times.  You can get the items by trading with Snatchin’ Seafarers or trading with your friends.

Here is a list of the next quests:

Quest 28:  Protection From the Scorching Rays:  Explore the Hunting Room to find Robinson’s Umbrella.  The item will not be found at once.  Previously collected items will not be counted.  I had to explore the hunting room MANY times to find it!

Quest 29:  Helm from Atlantis:  Search for the marine map in the rooms of the house.  Exchange the map with Snatchin Seafarers that walk around outside of the manorto obtain the Helm.  Previously collected items will not be counted. You have the option to purchase this item for 16 diamonds.

Quest 30:  Fragment of Beauty:   Search for the marine map in the rooms of the house.  Exchange the map with Snatchin Seafarers that walk around outside of the manorto obtain the Piece of Statue.  Previously collected items will not be counted. You have the option to purchase this item for 16 diamonds.

Quest 31:  Vessel from the Seabed:   Search for the marine map in the rooms of the house.  Exchange the map with Snatchin Seafarers that walk around outside of the manorto obtain the Amphorat.  Previously collected items will not be counted. You have the option to purchase this item for 16 diamonds.

Quest 32:  Secure Support:   Search for the marine map in the rooms of the house.  Exchange the map with Snatchin Seafarers that walk around outside of the manorto obtain the Column.  Previously collected items will not be counted. You have the option to purchase this item for 16 diamonds.

Quest 33:  Look of Gorgon:   Search for the marine map in the rooms of the house.  Exchange the map with Snatchin Seafarers that walk around outside of the manorto obtain the Head of Gorgon.  Previously collected items will not be counted. You have the option to purchase this item for 16 diamonds.

Quest 34:  Guide:  Charge the Legacy of Atlantis collection to complete the quest.  If you have charged the collection prior to this quest, it won’t count, so don’t charge it until you get this quest!

Quest 35:  Hat of Islander:  Explore the Dressing Room with the Will’o’Wisp phenomenon to find Robinson’s Hat.  Do not banish the phenomenon.  Item will not be found at once.  This quest was hard!  Use the info in our page note “Summoning a Phenomenon to Complete a Quest” for help completing this.

Quest 36:  Taciturn Parrot:   Explore the Hunting Room in Silhouettes mode to find the Parrot. Previously collected items will not be counted and the item will  not be found at once.

Quest 37:  Secure Raft:   Explore the Oceanic Room to find Robinson’s Raft. Previously collected items will not be counted and the item will  not be found at once.

Quest 38:  Shelter Maker:    Explore the African Room in Night mode to find the Hut. Previously collected items will not be counted and the item will  not be found at once.

Quest 39:  Little Friday:  Charge the Adventures of a Castaway collection to complete the quest.  If you have charged the collection prior to this quest, it won’t count, so don’t charge it until you get this quest!

Quest 40:  Clipper in a Fog:  Drive the Mist phenomenon away in any room to find the Clipper.   Previously collected items will not be counted and the item will  not be found at once.

Quest 41:  Did Not Believe His Eyes:  Exchange with the gypsies to find the Polar Bear.  Previously collected items will not be counted.  I found my Polar Bear by trading with the Gypsy.

Quest 42:  Locked Hatch:   Explore the Flying Saucer  Room to find the Hatch. Previously collected items will not be counted and the item will  not be found at once.

Quest 43:  Blown up Bunker:   Explore the Laboratory in Silhouettes mode to find the Screen. Previously collected items will not be counted and the item will  not be found at once.

Quest 44:  Meeting with the Hermit:  Explore the tropical island to complete the quest.

Quest 45:  Thick Shroud:  Explore Room 51 at Night to find the image of the island’s fog.  It will not be found at once and previously collected items do not count.

Quest 46:  Abnormal Accident:  Explore the Oceanic Room at night to find the wreckage (Bits of a Plane).  It will not be found at once and previously collected items will not count.

Quest 47:  The Most Important Evidence:  Charge the Secretive Island collection.  Previously charged collections will not count.

Now, a series of hideous quests begin!!!

Quest 48:  Hearty Meal:  Banish Snatchins to find 25 tiramisu, explore the Oceanic Room to find a tyrannosaur filet (you need 25, lol), and explore the Sakura room to find miso soup (yes, 25 of those too!).  TIPS:  Previously collected items will not be counted so there is no use in hording your items prior to this quest.  Go ahead and help your friends and hopefully they will return the favor!  It is very easy to get the tiramisu by banishing Snatchins.  When the Sakura Room drops the miso, you do get 2 at a time.  I only found 1 tyronnosaurus filet in the Oceanic Room so don’t waste your corals there!  You can find a few filets in the hunting room which is much less expensive.  Your best hope is to put the miso and filet on your wishlist and make trades with friends.

Quest 49:  To Wet a Whistle:  Find 25 Drunken Joe Whiskey.  Previous collected items will not count.

Quest 50:  Find 25 Dauphin Cognac.  Previously collected items will not count.

Quest 51:  Find 25 Mermaid Vodka.  Previously collected items will not count.

Quest 52:  Find 25 Sea Breeze Wine.  Previously collected items will not count.

Quest 53:  Charge the Drinks of the World collection 25 times to complete the quest.  Previously charged collections will not count.

TIP for Quests 49 through 53:  You will get a few of these items from rooms, but you really will get most of them from friends.  If you put more than one of the alcohol items above on your wishlist, make sure and only accept the items for the quest you are working on.  You can accept other alcohol items and thank friends when you get to the appropriate quest.  If you accept them before a quest, they will be part of the dreaded previously collected!!!  There is no quest for the Temptation Wine, but you will need 25 to complete Quest 53 and in only these case, previously collected Temptation Wines do count!!!

Quest 54:  Washtub of Idolators:  Drive away the Native Idol from any room to find the Ferry.  The item will not be found at once and previously collected items will not count.  (I found it on my first try!)

Quest 55:  Unruly Caravel:  Explore the African Room to find the Caravel.  The item will not be found at once and previously collected items will not count.  (Took me 6 tries.)

Quest 56:  High Speed Clipper:  Explore the Pirate’s Brig in Silhouette Mode to find the Clipper.  The item will not be found at once and previously items will not count.  (I am still working on this one.  I have tried twice to no avail and am scared I will run out of cannon balls!)

Quest 57:  Something Better Than Sailing Vessel:  Explore the Laboratory at Night to find the Paddle Boat.  The item will not be found at once and previously items will not count.

Quest 58:  Dead Ahead:  Explore the Oceanic Room at Night to find an Ocean Liner.  The item will not be found at once and previously items will not count.

Quest 59:  The Ice Has Broken!  Charge the Seven Feet Under the Keel Collection to complete the quest.  Previously charged collections will not count.

Quest 60:  Beginning of the Enchanted Path:  Explore the Island, the Pirate Brig, and the Oceanic Room 3 times each to complete the quest.  You will get the Enchanted Charm as a reward.

Quest 61:  Open the Salty Embrace:  Explore the Fortune Telling Room in Night Mode to find the Neptune.  The item will not be found at once and previously items will not count.  (I was lucky and found this on the third try.  This item can be loaned.

Quest 62:  Daughter Leaves by Pearl Path:  Explore the African Room or Cloakroom at night to find the Pearls.  The item will be found more quickly in the African Room, but also not immediately.  Previously collected items will not be counted. (I found mine in the African Room after a couple of tries.)

Quest 63:  Swift Wanderer Went Down:  Explore the Hunting Room or Hall with the Native Idol Phenomenon to call the Mercury.  It will not be found at once.  (This quest is very hard!  After a gazillion tries, I borrowed it from a friend.  My friend, Mhairi Manor, found it after 55 tries!   Also, you can use the tips found in our “Summoning a Phenomenon to Complete a Quest” note.

Quest 64:  Golden Gifts to the Mercury:  Explore the African Room or Library at Night to find the Golden Fleece.  The item will be found more quickly in the African Room, but also not immediately.  Previously collected items will not count. (I found the fleece in the African Room very quickly).

Quest 65:  The Carrier of Hope:  Explore the Fortune Telling Room or Hunting Room at night to summon the Unicorn.  It is likely to happen in the Fortune Telling Room, but also not immediately.  Previously collected items will not be counted.  TIP:  I found mine in the Hall where it is a regular item on the findable items list!

Quest 66:  Cleanliness and Miracle of Lily of the Valley:  Investigate any room at night to find the Lily of the Valley.  Item will not be found at once and previously collected items will not be counted.

Quest 67:  Happy End:  Explore the tropical island 3 times to complete the quest.

RELAX!  HAVE A COCKTAIL!  YOU HAVE FINALLY FINISHED THE SECRETIVE ISLAND QUESTS!!!
